Oh Patty I'm so thrilled to hear from you, I've been quite ill, hope you still have your same e-mail, I'll write you soon. Have missed you big time and kept you in my thoughts and prayers. Also miss you at Janette's other board http://www.voy.com/27550/ I'm sure you would enjoy the ladies there. Big hugs, Anna May
Thanks for thinking of me... I am on my way to the yard to make sure none of my outside things become projectiles! This has been a good excuse to stock up on food items that I generally shun. As Jan said, no power and a/c are really my biggest fear. And the most likely result of the storm.
Not really. :( I live within walking distance to the Gulf. Probably just a 1/2 mile, if that from the Gulf in Palm Harbor just south of Tarpon Springs. The houses across the street from me back up to a two lane road and I think the other side of the road is Tarpon Springs. Anyway, the Hurricane watch is as far north as Tarpon Springs. Neighbors have said everything has missed this area before. We do have hurricane shutters to put up if needed. I'm not too worried. As long as we have power and the A/C doesn't go out I'll be just fine. I couldn't imagine how hot it'd get without electric during that type of storm if you had no electric or couldn't open up the house.
A few years ago I was in Orlando with my kids when one of the two big ones hit that area. It was weird looking outside seeing big trees leaning completely sideways.
I am just now starting to hear a little thunder. Anyway, God can have me if he wants me....just don't make it hurt. LOL
I'll be sure to check back occasionally. If we happen to lose power for long and traffic allows I can go inland to Orlando area. I just dread that drive on I-4. Might be easier to tough it out right here!
OMG I adore your Pittypat, I had a cat for 19 years that was called pitpat. On June 16 lost the animals companion that was closest to me, having a hard time with this loss. Still have one left, that's Nina dog who has had two strokes already, so know it won't be that long. Enjoy your adorable dog, hugs, Anna May
